Colin Munro becomes 1st man to make 3 centuries in T20 international

Colin Munro has made his 3rd hundred in T20 international matches against West Indies on 3rd January 2018 (Wednesday night).

Colin Munro smashed 104 runs in 53 balls


He scored 104 runs in just 53 balls. With this century against West Indies he became 1st man who scored 3 times hundred in T20 international matches. Munro reached to 100 in just 47 balls and scored fastest hundred hit by New Zealander. Earlier McCullum was on number one with record of making hundred in just 50 balls. Munro smashed 10 sixes in his innings which is maximum sixes smashed in an inning by a new Zealander. Corey Anderson has also a same record of hitting 10 sixes in T20 match. With help of Munro's inning New Zealand scored 243-5 in 20 overs. After that West Indies failed in handling pressure and all out in just 124 runs. New Zealand won 3rd T20 by very high margin of 119 runs and looking very confident for their upcoming series against Pakistan. Colin Munro received player of the match award for his hard hitting inning. this was not one of the most polished inning of Colin Munro become in the beginning his genuine catch was dropped and he managed to get boundary. But people enjoyed his inning very much. In post match ceremony, Munro said that former skipper's advice didn't change from then to now.

He keeps telling me the same thing as he did when I played under him - stand still, be aggressive and have some fun.

After retirement of McCullum, New Zealand was missing him as one of the aggressive captain and opener. Colin Munro become captain of T20 squad just few days back and set him as an aggressive opener. It seems that New Zealand lost McCullum but got Munro. He is in very good form currently and new Zealand will wish that his form continues for long time.
